Bearberry
Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi) is a type of herb. Its main active ingredient is a substance named arbutin.
Bearberry is used for the treatment of these conditons:
Urinary Tract Infections:
Uva ursi is useful for the prevention and control of urinary tract infections. It contains a bioflavonoid named arbutin that inhibits some of the toxic bacteria that are responsible for most urinary tract infections.
Dosage:
750 - 1,500 mg per day (using bearberry capsules or tablets that have been standardized to contain 20% of the active ingredient arbutin).
