Buchu

Buchu (Barosma betulina) is a type of herb.

Buchu is used for the treatment of these conditons:

Urinary Tract Infections:

Buchu is employed by many herbalists in the treatment of Urinary tract Infections (the diuretic effects of Buchu are claimed to help to flush away the detrimental bacteria that cause urinary tract infections).

Dosage:

1,500 - 6,000 mg per day (usually prepared as a tea).

The therapuetic dosage of Buchu tincture is 3 - 6 ml per day (taken as three divided doses of 1 - 2 ml each).

The therapeutic dosage of capsules of (concentrated) Buchu is 750 - 900 mg per day.
