While ubiquinol (commonly referred to as QH) is commercially new, it is the dominant form of CoQ10 in human blood and liver (over 80%). QH is important because of its ability to transport electrons for energy synthesis within the mitochondria. Also an antioxidant, QH protects against lipid peroxidation and is thus protective.
